Cosmetic Dentistry FAQs

Veneers Consultations:

All appointments for consultations and porcelain veneers are made online only after answering a
brief questionnaire to see if you are a candidate.

After you complete the online questionnaire, we are happy to set up a consultation and answer any questions you may have.

Teeth Whitening Consultations:

Once we've reviewed your teeth whitening application, we'll recommend the best teeth whitening options for you!

During our office consultation, I will do a full exam which may include X-rays so that I may properly diagnose your dental condition. We will review your pre-smile-makeover workbook and go through some of your concerns, smile goals, and determine what you want for your smile.

I’ll tell you your options, the costs, whether insurance would pay for it or not, possible payment plan options, and how to book treatment with me to start your smile makeover.

Yes, we want to make sure that you are a good candidate for porcelain veneers and teeth whitening first BEFORE we meet!

All you have to do is fill out a brief questionnaire first and then you will receive instructions on how to properly submit your photos.

If you do not submit the photos as requested, your application will not be reviewed.

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are $1500 each tooth in my Flint, Michigan office and $2000 each tooth in my New York, NY office.

Unfortunately, porcelain veneers and teeth whitening are considered “cosmetic dentistry services” and not covered by insurance. As a result, we do not work with ANY type of insurance plans. Payments are due in full at the time of service.

We accept Cash, Credit, or you can apply for dental financing with one of our partners. If you don’t qualify for financing we can help you build your credit so that you can get a credit card or qualify for up to 5 years of dental financing for your new smile.

I really wish I could help everyone that emails me every day needing help but I can’t. Definitely google local dental schools and some of the local hospitals that have dental clinics for the lowest fees for your dental care. You may also want to do a Google search for cosmetic dentistry grants and dental charity organizations for low-cost and free dentistry.

Teeth whitening is $350 for a 1-hour professional in-office teeth whitening session.

You can also whiten your teeth at home with our VIP Smiles Home Teeth Whitening Products by shopping at the VIP Smiles store. Everything is under $50!

Studies have shown that peroxide-based products, when used as directed, will not harm the enamel surface. Teeth whitening products have little or no impact on the tooth’s nerve.

After professional in-office and professional take-home teeth whitening, it is advised that you visit your dentist for regular check-ups at least 1-2 times per year, as it can help maintain great oral health and keep stains away.

Touch-ups may also be needed after 6 months to 2 years, depending on your response to treatment and oral habits.

Yes. Studies have shown that the use of teeth whitening LED lights are safe and generate minimum heat. The light is not required for all products.

There are basically three options to get teeth whitened:

1. A professional in-office procedure.
2. Professional take-home teeth whitening kit.
3. Unsupervised use of over-the-counter products.

Decisions are typically made based on overall results, budget, and the time it takes to get teeth whiter.
